Committee Descriptions
Family:  Responsible for strengthening family life within the council. Coordinates family social events and activities, such as the Trap shoot, Thanksgiving potluck dinner and Super Bowl party. Writes the monthly Knight of the Month and Family of the Month articles.

Church:  Responsible for promoting active involvement in the work of the church. Includes communication with church staff for general needs and coordination of planned activities (parking, special presentation, church staff needs, Lenten soup supper and stations.)

Community:  Responsible for developing projects to help those in need within the community. Activities include blood drives, Habitat for Humanity, Austin State School events and other organizations outside the parish.

Cooking:  Responsible for coordinating, communicating, planning, and execution of the weekend meat sales and special event cooking requests.

Golf:  Responsible for organizing the annual golf tournament fundraiser that generates a pro-life donation to Marywood and the funds for council activities, donations, and programs.

Membership:  Responsible for recruitment, retention and insurance promotion. Coordinates applicants for membership, initiations, and communication of council degree dates and attendees.

Pro-Life:  Responsible for supporting pro-life programs and activities. Includes communicating to the Council on pro-life activities and representing the Council at organizations such as the Texas Alliance for Life and Majella Society.

Council:  Responsible for developing, organizing and communicating entertaining, enjoyable and beneficial activities for the Council that foster community building within the Council and parish community.

Youth:  Responsible for supporting and developing activities that support our youth. Activities include the annual Free Throw contests, Middle School and High School parties, Antioch retreat cookouts and the altar server appreciation events.

Communication:  Responsible for maintaining the Council web site and producing the monthly newsletter.
